About Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA)

Airport Carbon Accreditation is the only global standard for carbon management in the airport industry. Its aim is to enable airports to implement best practices in carbon management. This programme has been developed by Airports Council International Europe in line with applicable international standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO). Airports can become accredited at five progressively ambitious levels of accreditation. As of early 2024, there are more than 550 accredited airports.

About the role

The Data Analyst, who reports to the Programme Director, plays an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the ACA administration services. We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for implementing efficient methods to organize, analyse, validate, present, and interpret data. The Data Analyst will take initiatives and implement effective data management practices, draw conclusions in a timely manner, and report findings, contributing to the overall success of ACA.

Responsibilities

• Develops, reviews, organizes, analyses, validates, and interprets data and data systems and KPIs (e.g., airport greenhouse gases, passengers, airport accreditations).
• Organises databases and develops/implements procedures for effective and secure data management, data migration and integration as well as quality assurance and control.
• Develops KPIs, prepares reports/graphs and builds dashboards.
• Advises about software, hardware, data storage improvements and assesses system performance.
• Oversees the operations of ACA Online (i.e., the online system that manages airport accreditation applications and data) and liaises with the ACA Online developer/operator as required to install relevant software, receive training, address any faults, integrate platforms, etc.
• Proposes a Customer Relationship Manager Tool (e.g., Service Now, Zendesk), sets it up, oversees/supports its operation, and reports relevant statistics.
• Provides data management training and support.
• Collaborates with the management team to set quality benchmarks and recommends ideas to improve service quality.
• Contributes/undertakes other key tasks (e.g., recommendations of IT equipment, 1st level IT support, communication with IT providers).

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience with business systems/analysis, database management, quality assurance, data visualisation, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent understanding/use of relevant professional tools (e.g., Power BI, SAS, Tableau) and MS Office.
• Analytical mindset with strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organisation skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of an additional foreign language a plus.
• Knowledge of aviation or environmental issues a plus.
