JOB SUMMARY

The Test Analyst will be responsible for executing and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of any change to a Transfer Agency application to agreed standards, ensuring that the quality of the output is of a consistent, high standard. This is a manual, functional testing role.

The successful applicant will be required to work within a team structure, reporting to the Test Team lead.

JOB DUTIES

• Preparation and implementation of test plans, test cases and test scripts for both UAT and live system bugs across all Transfer Agency applications;

• Ensuring high quality and accuracy is always maintained;

• Make certain all testing completed within the TA Change Management team adheres to defined standards;

• Plan & schedule UAT programs jointly with the Project(s) Manager and Business Analyst(s);

• Design test strategies on a project by project basis;

• Review and provide test team sign off on all business requirements;

• Report progress against an agreed plan for each test phase to the Project(s) Manager & business unit(s) involved;

• Be able to assess risk, based on issue(s) identified, particularly on the live system and assist the Project(s) Manager on the best course of action to resolve the issue(s);

• Assessing risk, priorities and when necessary reviewing plans and making appropriate changes;

• Being able to run one or more testing streams at any one time;

• Constantly look to improve the testing process;

• Ability to build solid, professional relationships with all vendors interacted with;

• Provide support and mentoring to the offshore regression team;

• Build up business knowledge and become subject matter expert in all applications used the Transfer Agency business;

• Assist the training department in preparation of training guides for end users;

• Be flexible and understanding to the needs of the business;

• Work closely with the PMO to ensure all resource needs are fulfilled and that estimations provided are accurate;

• Actively work with the TA Production Support team on handover of all new functionality and manage the delivery of fixes for live issues through the development phase to deployment;

• Contribute to the planning and execution of all Disaster Recovery tests;

• From time to time duties will also entail those outlined for the Test Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Core Competencies:

• 2-3 years functional testing experience in a similar environment;

• Experience of testing any of the following an advantage;

• Unix/Linux based applications;

• Web based front end products;

• MiddleWare applications;

• Applications within a complex infrastructure.

• Excellent organization skills;

• Detailed working knowledge of iFAST, or other TA Systems, SWIFT or Messaging products, MS and Word;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Excellent communication, interaction with influencing skills;

• Strong attention to detail and a concern for quality is essential;

• Excellent analytical skills are required;

• Ability to work proactively both on own initiative and as part of a team;

• Comfortable interfacing and communicating with members of staff from all levels;

• ISEB/ISTQB qualification an advantage.
