DESCRIPTION:

Currently, we are in a search for a UNIX Administration Specialist, who will be a part of our partner's team and will provide outstanding services for implementing optimized and secure UNIX based platforms.

We believe the offer provides an excellent international opportunity with great future prospects for those with already extensive experience (5 years) with UNIX/LINUX system provisioning, administration, integration and testing.  

Responsibilities:

-       Implementing optimized and secure Unix based platforms and services;

-       Unix (Solaris, Redhat Linux, AIX, Vmware ESX hosts and Linux virtual guests) customer installations, configurations, testing and troubleshooting;

-       evaluating and testing the associated delivery mechanisms, testing and configuration procedures for new unix system and application service offerings;

-       Utilizing and editing/advising on necessary requirements, documentation and procedures to create and perform UNIX system deliveries.

Requirements:

-       5 years experience in UNIX/LINUX system provisioning, administration, integration and testing;

-       2 years experience in Solaris, Redhat Linux, AIX, Vmware ESX hosts;

-       Comprehensive knowledge of Unix operating system concepts, including file system, kernel, memory, networking, and security concepts. Emphasis on Linux, Solaris, ESX and AIX in a hosting environment.

-       Thorough knowledge of Sun sparc/opteron , Dell and IBM/AIX hardware. HP x86 based Linux systems;

-       Thorough knowledge of RAID and server clustering concepts. Thorough understanding of the TCP/IP protocol and common implementations, including DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and HTTP;

-       Intermediate understanding of routers and networking concepts including familiarity with subnetting/CIDR rules
