Network Operations plans, operates and maintains the railway day-to-day. Our business units – ‘routes’ – work closely with our customers, and are accountable for improving customer service, safety, and performance, as well as providing a value for money railway. 

 

 

     
About the role (External)    
     
   

The Strategic Planning Team is part of the overall organisation undertaking the operation and maintenance of the business incorporating all engineering disciplines.

 

The Asset Knowledge team is part of the Strategic Planning Department which provides ongoing management of the end-to-end processes for Stations and Infrastructure maintenance systems, ensuring the quality of data meets business requirements and identifying and implementing improvements. 

 

You will be working alongside the Asset Knowledge Manager & Data Knowledge Manager to satisfy all stakeholders objectives

 

Job Purpose

 

Supporting the Asset Knowledge Manager by implementing and providing ongoing management of the end-to-end processes for maintenance systems, ensuring the quality of data meets business requirements and identifying and implementing improvements

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  1. Implement and provide ongoing management of the end-to-end processes for maintenance systems in line with the current business standards.
  2. Implement a comprehensive audit programme to determine data quality levels and data maintenance compliance.
  3. Put suitable measures in place aimed at achieving asset data within the maintenance systems of sufficient quality to meets business requirements.
  4. Liaise with relevant functional teams so that change management processes affecting data integrity meet business requirements.
  5. Provision of data and metrics reporting.
  6. Support the Asset Knowledge Manager
  7. Creation and management of the integrated maintenance plans.
  8. Monitoring asset performance and planned maintenance against completed

 

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining audit programmes
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft programmes, plus MIMS, CORVU, BOC, SQL and Visual Basic
  • Attention to detail critical in ensuring quality of data within the maintenance system
