Senior .NET Developer (DB Oriented)

Our Client

As part of this role you can expect to work on projects of strategic importance, handle the latest technologies and contribute throughout the development lifecycle of line-of-business and business intelligence applications, i.e.:

- Requirements gathering

- Architecture definition / blueprinting

- Functional and Technical design

- Prototyping / rapid-application-development

- Development, refactoring and unit testing of production code-sets

- Code review

- Testing and organizing/coordinating testing, including regression testing and troubleshooting

- Managing source control, configuration management and build management for production and development code-sets

- Administering and optimizing Databases

- Authoring and maintaining documentation at various levels

Strongly required skills:

- Strong Microsoft C#.NET development skills and extensive experience in Object Oriented Design (OOD)

- Expert MS SQL Server skills, including DB design, implementation, administration, performance tuning, data transformation and loading, master data management, data quality services, etc.

- Good understanding of Design Patterns and frameworks (Repository Pattern, ORM tools e.g. EntityFramework, etc.)

- Experience in development methodology (AGILE, SCRUM) and testing methodologies

- An excellent command of written and spoken English

Ideally, you should also have:

- Experience with MS Azure database-related offerings

- Experience in resolving common challenges in Big Data applications, such as data partitioning, index optimization, etc.

- Experience in Data Science related technologies (e.g. NoSQL DBs, Hadoop, Machine Learning techniques, etc.)

- Experience in MS Business Intelligence technologies (MSAS, MSRS, PowerBI, etc.)

- Experience in producing high quality documentation, e.g. design, requirements, procedures, etc.

- Worked in an international, dynamic and challenging work environment where well developed design, development, testing and configuration methodologies are upheld and strongly endorsed
