Senior Software Engineer (UI specialty)

an innovative shipping start-up with a passion for technology, is looking for a high-calibre software engineer to join, as a key member, its strategic Information function in Athens.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for requirements gathering, architecture definition / blueprinting, functional and technical design, Prototyping / rapid-application-development. Testing and organizing/coordinating testing, including regression testing and troubleshooting. Managing source control, configuration management and build management for production and development code-sets, Development, refactoring and unit testing of production code-sets. Also you should be able to Infrastructure support and authoring and maintaining documentation at various levels

Απαιτήσεις

The ideal candidate:

- 3-5 years’ experience in server side development (Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, OOD)

- Experience in web-development skills with focus on JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Ember, Node.

- Good understanding of Design Patterns and frameworks (MVVM, MVC, WPF, etc.)

- Experience in designing and implementing effective User Interfaces and User Experience (UI/UX)

- Experience in MS SQL Server development

- Experience in development methodology (AGILE, SCRUM) and testing methodologies.

- An excellent command of written and spoken English

Desired Skills:

- Experience with HTML5, Bootstrap and other prevailing web-development boilerplates/frameworks

- Extensive experience in UI/UX design, particularly in data visualization (dashboards, graphs/charts, maps, etc.)

- Awareness of MS Azure offerings

- Experience in Data Science related technologies (e.g. NoSQL DBs, Hadoop, Machine Learning techniques, etc.)

- Experience in producing high quality documentation, e.g. design, requirements, procedures, etc

- Worked in an international, dynamic and challenging work environment where well developed design, development, testing and configuration methodologies are upheld and strongly endorsed
