7/12/2011: Greece : Marie Curie Experienced Researcher Fellow for the SMARTEN ITN project

The Marie Curie ER (Experienced Researcher) Fellow will conduct research in the areas of Signal Processing and Communications with reference to wireless sensor networks.

The topics include:
- Multi-hop Relaying, Distributed and Cooperative Communication Schemes
- Distributed Estimation algorithms
- Distributed Source Coding
- Localization
- Compressed Sensing.

 
Responsibilities for this position include conducting research in the above fields leading to publications in top international academic journals and conferences, and providing teaching support to various graduate courses related with the expertise of the successful candidate. Applicants must show evidence of research potential in their respective field, as well as collegial spirit.

The advertised position will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a well established and active group and use the facilities of a state-of-the art environment, further develop his/her skills and experience, significantly enhancing his/her career.

The duration of the job is 12 months, starting in the first quarter of 2012. Compensation includes: (a) Competitive monthly salary, and (b) travel grants to attend conferences, in addition to travel related with project requirements.
