Post-Doctoral Researcher Position

E2SG is an ENIAC Joint Undertaken project that is focused on the design mechanisms and policies to assemble, monitor and control smart grids, i.e. a set of interconnected nodes whose primary goal is to generate, exchange and consume electrical energy in the most efficient and reliable way by exploiting distributed information that is sensed, transmitted and processed over the same set of nodes and links.

The consortium consists of more than 20 European companies, universities and research centers.

Iquadrat S.L. offers a three years post-doctoral research position and we are looking for an outstanding doctor willing to work within the following tasks

• Networking for Smart Grid

• Network Resource Optimization

• Self-healing and Self-optimizing Networking

• Simulation related issues regarding Smart Grid communications

• Communication in Smart Grids applications, e.g., Home Energy

• The system performance optimization through convex and linear programming techniques.

• The design of a general framework to control the system available resources in order to save the employed energy

ELIGIBILITY

• A PhD. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, is required. Strong analytical skills and strong communications skills in English are also required.
