Purpose of the Position
The incumbent is responsible for supporting ECS (Enterprise Communication Service) Messaging services for ICC and its clients.
Objectives of the Programme
The objectives of the Centre, as stated by its mandate, are to provide information and communication technology (ICT) services (including training) on an inter-organizational basis.
Summary of Assigned Duties
The incumbent of this position will perform their duties from ICC premises located within the UN Support Base in Valencia. ICC premises include data centre facilities and office space provided to the ICC by the UN Department of Field Support (DFS) as stated in the MOU concluded between the UN, represented by DFS, and the ICC in July 2012.
Duties include
Under the supervision of the Head, Messaging Services Unit (OTAM), the incumbent will be responsible for the support of ECS Messaging and Collaboration services for ICC and its clients. He/She will :
- Provide on-going system administration of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013, O365 Tenant, and other servers that are used to deliver ECS to ICC's partners
- Collaborate with other teams to elaborate the service and system monitoring and alerting of ECS
- Support, maintain and optimize the ECS infrastructure and participate in projects to enhance the service
- Resolve incidents and assist with problem resolution as part of the incident management process
- Handle requests for services related to the messaging environment
- Collaborate with other teams to define and develop documented procedures
- Perform other duties as required
The incumbent may be requested to provide support during weekends, holidays or outside working hours as well as to serve as a 'stand-by' officer on a rotation basis

Education
Essential
- Graduation from secondary school with advanced formal training in information technology and its applications
- Professional Certification in Exchange 2013
Experience
Essential
- At least eight (8) years of experience in information technology or related area, including at least five (5) years in operating and maintaining enterprise messaging infrastructure
- Experience in writing technical documents
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Languages
- Expert knowledge of English is required (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable
