Creates solution architectures and provides technical leadership for junior Solution Architects in one or two technical areas. Captures and manages customer requirements using industry best practice. Manages assignments independently. Defines and manages detailed architectural requirements for solution during delivery phase for large scale or high complexity projects. Works with senior technology leads and solution consultants internally and at partners to design solutions based on customer requirements. Acts as permanent consultant in limited competence area. Presents solution architecture & design to customer for verification and makes required adaptations. As Solution Architect NSI (New Service Introduction) you are responsible for enabling of RSO and GSD resources in SI Core solutions (telco cloud voice, vEPC, etc.). You will be technically responsible for the focused Core solutions and work with the regional teams to support key and must win presales cases. Being also the technical expert for SI Core solutions you will contribute to the development of new solutions with special focus on cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities (with focus on telco cloud/vEPC):
- Enabling of RSO and GSD resources in new SI Core solution for presales and delivery
- Technical support of solution owners in setting up and verification of new SI Core solutions
- Field support (architecture, consulting, engineering) for key and must win cases Position Requirements
Deep understanding of core network elements like IMS, TAS, EPC, etc.
Preferable certification in VMware (ESXi 5.5 and VCloudDirector 5.5) and Juniper/Cisco
Implementation skills for virtualization concepts e.g. VMware 5.5 or openStack Icehouse and SDN setups e.g. Juniper Contrail or openStack Neutron API.
Ability to design, plan and implement Telco Cloud lab environments incl. E2E use cases
Willingness to enter new technology areas and design use cases
Create and build documentation and training concepts for other team members
Excellent understanding of networking and ability to capture and analyze any erroneous scenarios
Hands on experience on standard data center HP c7000 and EMC storage infrastructure
Good presentation skills to share the experiences and lessons learned to other team members
