We are now looking for an Engineer, Electro-Optics for our team in Tampere, Finland.
Tampere D&T team is responsible for developing display & touch solutions for Lumia smartphones, we have successfully developed outstanding display & touch solutions for Lumia 1020, Lumia 630, Lumia 620 phones and several other products in the past.
As an Engineer you will work directly in a phone program and be part of the local display & touch project team, you will be responsible for developing display & touch solution(s) starting from early concept phase, technology and supplier selection to mass production start. You will have the opportunity to work with global display & touch suppliers, develop and work with spearhead technologies etc.
Qualifications
In order to succeed in this role you have:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) / Master of Science (MSc) – hardware (electronics) as major with some software knowledge.
- You’ve an open minded and pioneering attitude, passion for innovation and proven track record to drive new technologies to smartphones.
- You’ve ability to work under tight deadlines, who possess a proactive self-dependent working style and multi-tasking isn’t an unknown term for you.
- You have ability of solving technical problems through exploring possible solutions under constraints
Technical qualification: 4+ years of experience:
- Strong technical know-how of LCD and AMOLED technologies
- Strong technical know-how of standard display & touch interfaces
- Strong technical know-how of capacitive touch technologies; IC’s and sensors
- Strong technical know-how of display & touch solution mechanical architecture and product integration in handsets
- Strong technical know-how of high speed signaling, EMC and FPC design
- Experience in system design and integration
- Experience of component and product verification, error handling and reporting and ability of analyzing test data
- Experience in working in phone programs
