Corporate Engineering and Projects require a Senior Project Manager – Assess & Select.
Key Responsibilities
- Derive from ongoing project work in Maersk Oil Business Units and externally the current best practices for managing major upstream oil and gas projects, in particular for the Assess and Select stages i.e. pre Execute.
- Participate in Maersk Oil’s programme to develop project management as a discipline, including project management training and project management competency mapping.
- Participate in peer and stage gate project reviews for non-operated projects.
- Assist in developing Corporate standards within the areas of Project Management including cost estimating, quality management (facilities) and contractor management.
- Support the PMP (stage gate) process.
- Work with Business Units in preparing for specific projects in terms of organization, execution plans, pre-qualification of bidders and tendering.
- Provide support / troubleshooting to Business Units on project specific issues as requested.
Who we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 12+ years of relevant oil and gas experience, including project management of major offshore projects.
Demonstrate:
- Strong safety leadership.
- Technical understanding of the engineering disciplines and their interfaces.
- Competency in project management for the assess and select phases including risk and opportunity management, value drivers and engineering, decision quality, project framing, field development planning, front end loading, scope definition and hand over to the project execution team.
- Appreciation of the interfaces within and between projects including internal discipline areas and functions.
- Appreciation of contractual aspects of EPIC contracts.
- Familiarity with international codes of practice, design standards and classification rules.
- Good communication skills, including fluency in oral and written English.
