Responsibilities:
Dragon Drive is the Automotive flagship product. With its three core components Speech, Connect and Link, both embedded and cloud-based technology and services it is a quite complex proposition. Solution Architect Dragon Drive Speech will be part of the Automotive Speech team in the Automotive BU reporting to the Sr. Director of Automotive Speech (Eric Montague). Solution Architect Dragon Drive Speech is reponsible to support and consult sales and pre-sales in all cloud-oriented aspects of Dragon Drive (especially cloud speech solutions / NCS) incl. representation of the Auto BU in the internal processes around cloud-services, as well as involvement in sales and deal support e.g. for technical contract discussions, SLAs etc. Solution Architect Dragon Drive Speech will play an active role in customer presentations and workshops, in documentation and contractual representation of customer projects, support Sales Engineering with expertise and consultancy on technical and service-aspects of Dragon Drive, and support corresponding RFQ and deal processes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides Dragon Drive solution consultancy internally (pre-sales, sales, sales engineering, legal, HOPS, etc) and externally (customers, partners, content providers)
- Provides support for or creates himself solution descriptions, customer presentations, white papers around Dragon Drive
- Plays an active/leading role in customer presentations and workshops
- Captures, documents and communicates customer architectures, service and feature requirements, project timelines, project specific market and volume information etc. around Dragon Drive
- Supports or creates term sheets, deal discovery sheets, RFQ replies, SLAs, Cost Estimates, Statements of Work etc. for Dragon Drive Speech
- Provides industry and competitor background information to internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
Education: Strong proven background in Computer & Information Technology (or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)
Number of Years of Work Experience: >3
Required Skills:
- Excellent experience in server technology and architectures;
- Excellent general technical understanding;
- Excellent understanding of speech technologies;
- Willingness and ability to dive deeply into the various technical and service solution aspects of Dragon Drive;
- Excellent presentation skills in English, especially w.r.t. technical content;
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral & written);
- Excellent social skills to sucessfully deal with various stakeholders, internally and externally;
- Strong service-oriented mindset to serve customers and sales alike;
- Strong background in or willingness and ability to dive deeply into automotive telematics service solutions, the connected car industry and competitor landscape;
- Willingness to work with stakeholders located around the globe from various countries and cultural backgrounds;
- Willingness to work early or late hours (e.g. phone calls with Asian and US-based partners);
- Willingness to travel frequently, mostly in US and Europe but sometimes also Asia.
