Purpose of the Job
Prepare and execute Installation engineering activities in support to one or several Bids / Projects and /or Programs
Responsibilities
- The Installation Engineer is responsible for creating the necessary documentation needed for the installation execution of one or several projects.
- Define the layout and procedures to follow in Installations Execution, On Board and Wayside and decide on how to install (Interlocks).
- Support Engineering department in: Definition of Electric/Electronic elements (Devices, Signalling Systems, etc). Developing designs and prototypes, assessing feasibility, determining whether existing equipment, components, and tools require modifications, and specifying modifications when necessary.
- Reads and interprets the drawings of a project and recommends any modifications that may be needed.
- Direct Reporting to the Installation Engineering Resonsible (hierarchical) and to the PrEM (operational).
- Travelling on site for surveys/when necessary.
Support in technical bids, budgets and performing measurements.
Resolving technical installation issues in a project.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical.
Technical Knowledge / Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar organization or as a Project Engineer or Technical Office Engineer
- Familiar with design tools and techniques: Autocad, Eplan, Electronic Design Software.
