Role Summary/Purpose:
This role is expected to perform mechanical design activities within the Mechanical Transmission Component Design organization, with particular focus to gears and shafts design.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build expertise in gears and shafts component technical knowledge
- Develop components design to achieve the objectives of cost, performance and life
- Issue the technical documents (ie drawings, reports, specifications) relative to the components design
- Use of design tools: CAD as Unigraphics, and FEM CAE as Nastran, Ansys and in-house SW's
- Proactively support and coordinate activities with other Company departments and Suppliers to implement product improvements (ie concurrent design, cost-out activities, etc)
- Support Source Substantiation (Validazioni Tecnologiche) activities for gearbox component
- Support management of Quality Notifications (QN) for gearbox components, ie provide indications to manage defective components
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
- Min 4 years experience in mechanical design,gearbox product preferred
- Experience with CAD tools
- Experience with FEM tools (ie Nastran, Ansys)
- English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral
- PC proficiency
- EU Work Permit
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Knowledge of aeronautical Certification rules, ie EASA Part 21, CS-E, FAR's
- Experience with Unigraphics CAD tool
