We are looking for an enthusiastic technically proficient person who can install and troubleshoot IP networks of any vendor, of any technology and of any size. You must enjoy working in technical environments on a range of projects and be part of the strong multi-disciplined IP Network and Engineering Team. Operate in a professional manner on customer sites, work with vendors and customer technical teams. Complete pre-sales design and post-sales support to customers ( depending on experience level ). Be a good team player with a desire to develop technically and share knowledge across the IP Engineering Team. You will gain experience working on complex network projects for large companies and gain experience on Core IP network management while developing your potential and accreditations.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure, Install, Test, Commission and Document new network installations
- Install, Commission and Document Security Solutions for customers
- Carry out Network Audits
- Provide Post-Sales Engineering Support to Customers
- Assist with Installation and Maintenance of Metropolitan Area Network and associated services
- Part of on call 7x24 hr Rota
Requirements
- Proven track record of designing, implementing and supporting networks based on HP or Cisco equipment
- 2 Years + Experience
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong grasp of Network security: firewall, router & switch
- Strong communication and team-player skills.
- Multitasking – be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer focused
- Provide ongoing support for Customer Networks.
- Certifications in Networking/Security technologies, such as ESE. ESSE, HP (LAN, WAN and Voice), CNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP are an desirable but not essential
