Test Automation Specialist

The Position

In this position you will join a test automation team with the task of automating tests for a global healthcare software application in order to streamline and optimize the testing process.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the functional testing team to develop new automated test cases, and enhance the automation testing framework
  • Design and generate test harnesses, comprising test data and scripts, that the automated tests can use.
  • Manage and maintain test environments, in close collaboration with the build management team
  • Oversee the automated test execution process
  • Interact with the development team to address quality issues as early as possible
  • Participate in requirements and bug review meetings
  • Participate actively in the department(s) processes improvement when required. Also, help with activities aimed to meet FDA requirements

Education and Experience Required:

  • Studies:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering. Any healthcare related studies will be appreciated.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in software testing and test case automation
    • Proven experience in working with large teams within a multicultural environment

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in Software Quality and Testing processes
  • Experience with at least one test automation tool, preferably TestComplete, Selenium or QuickTest Pro
  • Experience in at least one scripting language (VBS, Ruby, Python)
  • Experience in agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban)
  • ISTQB Certification is a plus
  • Programming experience in C/C++ is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while in sync with the other team members
  • Self-motivation, well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and problem solving attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
  • Good written/oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
