According to Development Center organization (and dimension of sustaining activities), this position is either specific (and described in this job description) or is one of the Development Center Métier Leader (who has direct report line to the Development Center Metiers Manager/Director).

Purpose of the Job

Manage Product Lifecycle Managers and Life Cycle Métier. Ensure that Products & Systems of the Development Center he/she belongs to are sustained

Key Network & Links

  • System/Product Program Managers, Generic Framework Manager
  • Industrialization & Co-engineering Director, TLS

Performance Measurement

  • Sustaining QCD commitment
  • Product cost & reliability
  • Issues management efficiency (obsolescence management, 8D, etc.)
  • Quality and reactivity of delivered support

Responsibilities

  • Manage products sustaining budget and workload
  • Be responsible for QCD execution of all Life Cycle activities assigned to the Development Center:
    • Obsolescence management
    • Cost reduction
    • Reliability growth & evolution (small redesign or buy products)
    • End of tender, manufacturing, repair
  • Ensure Operation (Industrial) Support:
    • Manufacturing (First Pass Yield), Repairs
    • Supply chain (double sourcing and obsolete stock management)
  • Ensure Regional Center support for:
    • Tender (main contract, repeat order, maintenance contracts)
    • Project product support
  • Manage and develop Life Cycle Métiers (competitiveness, process and tools)  

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • University Degree/Master in Industrial Engineering related to Electronics.  

Technical Knowledge/Experience:

  • 5 years’ of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in Team/department building.
