Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, is both the forum and voice of the European chemical industry. It aims to maintain and develop a prosperous chemical industry in Europe by promoting the best possible economic, social and environmental conditions to bring benefits to society.
Cefic is located in Brussels and employs more than 150 people.
For its department International Chemicals Management (ICM), Cefic is looking for a (M/F): Responsible Care Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop Responsible Care activities at European level and support national RC programmes;
- Integrate RC in Cefic’s Programme Councils, work programmes & sector groups to maximize synergies;
- Support the implementation of RC in the value chain, especially by developing Cefic’s RC partnerships with the distribution & transportation sectors;
- Ensure that the objectives of the RC-SIG are attained;
- Maintain a firm network with all national RC coordinators and develop the broader network of RC practitioners and managers in order to strengthen the RC initiative;
- Support ICCA’s Responsible Care Leadership Group in its work for global outreach and progress;
- Support the implementation of new national RC programmes;
- Develop the Responsible Care brand’s potential and integrate RC into Cefic’s communication strategy.
Skills & competencies
- University degree (science, engineering or communication);
- Working experience within the chemical industry;
- Good leadership and team management abilities;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Written & verbal proficiency in English;
- Strategic insight and good grasp of societal expectations;
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office package).
