This research is part of the cooperation agreement between IUAV and Cultural Heritage Ministry, concerning the experimental application of Direttiva P.C.M. del 9-2-2011 –“Evaluation and reduction of seismic risk of cultural heritage,” both to buildings and to the cultural heritage in general. In particular the main issue of this research concerns the will of extending the principles of the “Direttiva” also to art objects, by means of specific case studies analyses.

Starting from the results of previous studies about this topic, the research aims to evaluate the role of different methods of analysis and of a possible re-definition of the confidence factor by analyzing real case studies of busts and statues. The methodological approach developed in the previous researches and based on the principles of the Direttiva will be applied.

Selection process

Examinations take place in Venezia and are aimed at ascertaining the candidate’s preparation, experience and aptitude towards research. They consist of:

- evaluation of titles presented;

- an interview on the subjects specified by the notice and indicated, for each Research Programme.
