Job Description
Septentrio is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Research Engineer to further develop our GNSS products. As Research Engineer you will join the Algorithm team. You will work together with other GNSS experts and engineers to develop advanced solutions for our high-accuracy satellite navigation products.
Task Description
- Design, develop and implement prototype GNSS navigation algorithms;
- Work closely with embedded algorithm developers to transfer prototypes into products;
- Take a pro-active attitude towards bringing products with new features to the market;
- Keep up-to-date about new positioning technologies and evaluate their integration into our products;
- Assist customer support.
Profile
Skills needed:
- Analytical and result-oriented, proven experience with numerical algorithms (such as statistical data processing or Kalman filtering);
- Strong team player who will enjoy working in a small team of specialists;
- Good communication with excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
Extra assets:
- Experience with any of the following:
- high-accuracy GNSS algorithms such as RTK and PPP;
- noise modelling;
- alternative filter techniques, such as particle filters;
- Strong scientific documentation and reporting skills;
- Strong programming skills (Matlab, C, C++).
Education/experience:
- PhD in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy or Aerospace Engineering. MSc candidates with several years of industry experience are encouraged to apply.
