Role Summary/Purpose:
This role is expected to define the turbine module mechanical design during the NPI process, from preliminary design definition until the final turbine architecture completion according to the Technical Specification. The Designer reports to the Turbine Module Design Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
Turbine Module preliminary mechanical design execution and all relevant analytical effort through benchmarking, trade off studies, quick design assessment (e.g. simplified FEA) and coordinating the Engineering Technology, Components Design specialists (in AvioAero and in the Global Design Center) and external suppliers.
Turbine Module detailed mechanical design by issuing cross section and manage the mechanical arrangement through the DPA; drive the components detailed analyses and design; define and control the module interfaces; guarantee the configuration management; execute clearances analyses to guarantee correct assembly and operation.
Support the Technical Leader in the coordination of the engineering activities with the aim to achieve program milestones and meet schedule and deadlines.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Master Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Strong knowledge of Unigraphics NX environment (parametric modeling, large assemblies, Control Structures management).
Knowledge of Team-center environment with associated workflows.
Good knowledge of general mechanical design.
Preferred a minimum of 5 years of experience in the mechanical design field (preference – engineering/other technical roles).
Strong technical skills.
Good English (spoken and written); minimum Italian to better communicate with colleagues.
EU work permit.
