The Position

The Business Analyst/Project Manager will function as a liaison between the Pharma business stakeholders and the different IT teams from both, internal and external partners. She/he will lead specific projects in the area of Application Services in support of Commercial Operations (Sales & Marketing, Clinical Trials, Medical, Finance, Compliance & other departments).

The eligible candidate will be responsible for:

• Understanding and documenting business requirements / processes and translating them into automated solutions
• Understanding the solution landscape and architecture at the market level and leveraging existing regional/global solutions to resolve local problems
• Working with business stakeholders, internal IT groups and external partners to define and implement innovative solutions in support of the Commercial Business in Belgium, e.g. CRM, Compliance, Financial Systems, New services, Digital solutions, etc.
• Managing and delivering Application Services projects according to plan, like Commercial, Medical & Compliance project. She/he will interact with project stakeholders and will manage resources as required to achieve project objectives
• Ensuring appropriate System and User Acceptance testing as well as Project Management documentation
• Working with internal IT groups and external vendors to ensure smooth maintenance & operations of local systems. Support local users to resolve problems and escalate when required

• University Degree and work experience in computer science, software engineering or similar field, preferably with experience working in the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent English language skills (both oral and written) and fluency in at least one of the local languages (French or Dutch). Fluency in both local languages is a plus. 
• Solid understanding of software lifecycles, including analysis, design, development, QA, functional testing, rollout, support and project management
• Strong written communication and excellent presentation and facilitation skills. 
• Excellent team player, ability to work well in the small team as well as multi-national teams in a virtual environment
• Strong project management skills and proven track record delivering projects in an international environment. Project management certificate is a plus.
• Understanding of CRM concept and experience with at least one of the CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce.com, Siebel, etc.)  Understanding of Clinical Trials and/or Financial processes is a plus.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence and Analytics concepts and experience with at least one of the analytics tools (Cognos, SAP BO, etc.). Previous experience in ETL and SAP BO is a plus
• A strong sense of urgency and ability to work independently on assigned projects
• Able to manage ambiguity while coping with challenging customers and project goals
• Strong technical skills, systems and requirements analysis with an ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and systems
• Availability to travel occasionally
