Role Summary/Purpose:
The Service Engineering Manager – Nordic Region is responsible for leading the regional Service Engineering department consisting of 95+ Engineers. Responsible for execution of the regional aftermarket operations, growth plan and HSE excellence. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. Considered to be a business partner, contributes to the overall strategy and involved in long-term planning. Reports directly to the Global Service Engineering Director.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Superior responsibility for all engineering activities for the Aftermarket Business in the Nordic Region
- Provide operational and strategic leadership to balance between short and long term deliveries in line with budget and strategic commitments
- Liaise with customers either on or off site as necessary
- Execute operation commitments and ensure on-time delivery
- Provide support to Bid Management to ensure executable bids are proposed
- Overall recruitment, resource and capacity management and planning for the department
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management and monitoring
- Line Management for all direct reporting positions
- Oversee design processes and quality within the department
- Develop and improve the department's business processes
- Drive Services Engineering team competence development
- Ensure effective communication within the department including stakeholders in the Nordic and overall Services Organisation, Customer and Global Engineering Organisations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marine Technology from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience and knowledge within a Services engineering business
- Ability to manage effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Customer service mindset
- Sound business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
