Research Associate in photovoltaic devices based on atomically thin materials

Salary Range: £33,410 to £42,380 per annum
A fixed term post for up to 12 month in the first instance with an option for further extension

The Department of Materials at Imperial College London wishes to appoint a highly motivated Research Associate to develop photovoltaic and photocatalytic devices based on twodimensional atomically thin materials beyond graphene.

The post holder will work in the research group of Dr Cecilia Mattevi and will be involved in collaboration within and external to Imperial College, with internationally recognised research groups. The Research Associate will be expected to fabricate photovoltaic and photocatalytic devices, which exploit 2D materials (MoS2, WS2 etc.), and fully characterise and understand their electrochemical properties.

You must have a PhD (or equivalent), in materials science, applied physics, chemistry or engineering, must have a strong background and experience with fabrication and test of photovoltaic devices and/or with electrical/electrochemical characterisation of materials and have a track record of productive research. Excellent spoken and written communication skills are necessary.
