Business Controller
We expect our future core business in Denmark to be focused on Wind, and are thus looking for key competencies to match our growth ambitions. Business Unit Wind Nordic is now looking to recruit a talented and experienced Business Controller to drive our financial and analytical capabilities as well as support traditional financial processes both internally and to external partners.
Main responsibilities & Work Tasks
We are looking for an Business Controller for our generation operations in Denmark. You will be responsible for supporting the business with financial analysis in a range of areas: from potential capital investments to analysis on cost and performance drivers, as well as planning and forecasting of asset performance. You will report to the head of Business Control with dotted line to the BU.
Responsibilities
• Financial planning of forecasts and budgets of Danish onshore and offshore assets
• Supporting site managers with financial evaluation for asset management decisions (e.g.: investments & divestments)
• Reporting and analysis of financial results, with forward looking evaluation of spend related to investment and O&M program. This includes taking an active role in any fiscal committees and annual general meetings for assets where we have external shareholders.
• Supply managers with financial follow up incl. KPI´s
Qualifications
You must have a Bachelor or a Master degree or equivalent within business administration, economics or engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of calculating business cases
• Knowledge and understanding of financial statements, ability to perform financial analysis
• Ability to analyse financial, production and market data using Excel and other software tools
• Ability to prioritize work requirements
• Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize objectives and meet deadlines
• Ability to write professional quality reports
• Proficient with the use of Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Danish GAAP is an advantage, but not required
Personal skills
You are an enterprising, structured person who can create relations and are able to work in an international environment with colleagues and a manager in another location. This also requires being visible and having strong communication skills. You have a clear understanding of the difference between statutory accounting and management follow up. You have the ability to transfer conceptual ideas into practical solutions and you are proactive in business controlling and have a strong focus in business partnership. You have a thorough understanding of key financial processes and like to work with figures and make thorough analyses without losing the big picture. You must be very articulate in English speech and writing, and be flexible and willing to travel.
