It has an installed base of over 100,000 vehicles worldwide.For our headquarters in Berlin we are currently looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (m/f) as part of our Data Centre Solutions & Services team.This team is responsible for all of Bombardier Transportation’s Data Centre infrastructure (2 Major, 4-6 Regional, 20-40 local Data Centres) including our Global WAN and LANs (over 200 Locations).Responsibilities- Enhance the performance and stability of our global platforms- Contribute to solution design and implementation- Translate Requirements, Design and Solution Architecture deliverables into infrastructure specifications- Provide Subject Matter expertise and coordination for all involved parties in 3rd level issues- Manage suppliers to the best possible performance (SLA, KPI and Financial Monitoring)- Interface with other IS Teams and FunctionsQualificationsYour skills:Process:- Experience in using ITIL based processes in a high performance organisation- Experienced in working in an Agile / SCRUM team- Experience in creating new and constantly improving existing processesManagement:- It's essential that you come from a strong infrastructure support background combined with leadership experience- Strong communication skills (managing suppliers, teams and stakeholders)- Experience in working with teams in different time zones and from different suppliersTechnology:- Strong experience in System Administration in Linux and Windows (experience in other Unix flavours a plus)- Strong experience in Open Source configuration Management Systems (like Chef, Puppet, Salt)- Extensive experience servicing large corporate infrastructure which should encompass mainly VMWare and optionally Citrix and Microsoft virtualisation technologies- Thorough knowledge of Storage technologies such as: NetApp ONTAP versions 8.x 7-mode and HP 3PAR- Good experience with networking environments, routing, switching, firewall administration, load balancing (mainly on Juniper, Cisco and Riverbed)- Strong System Administration scripting skills- Experience with Database Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and Middleware (Tomcat, Websphere)- Experience with Enterprise level backup solutions- Fluency in English, any additional language is a plusPlease submit your CV in English!We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.Meet with us!We are looking for great professionals to join us.
