We are prepared to aid your development into an experienced Buildings/Civil Engineer with formal training, that is consolidated through in the role work experience.
Your main responsibilities as a Buildings/Civil Engineer:
- Undertaking engineering feasibility assessments, designs and reports to professional standards and to agreed timescales
- Overseeing and managing the work of sub-contractors assigned to carry-out design
- Chairing design reviews and other peer review meetings as required
- Inspecting and reporting on construction site matters
- Contributing technical input to multidisciplinary Project Teams
- Contributing to team planning, risk management, quality and SHE to support the effective functioning of the Engineering Team
- Establishing and maintaining relations with Estates Survey and Operations and Maintenance teams
Your skills and qualifications as a Buildings/Civil Engineer:
- Degree qualified in Building Engineering or Building Services or equivalent subject/qualification, or experience to offset
- Association of Project Management Qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential
- Experience in the design and construction of buildings, buildings maintenance, and general refurbishment projects
- Ability to write and present comprehensive professional reports and articulate complex engineering concepts clearly
- Chartered or near Chartered Engineer in a related discipline is desirable
