What to expect
Our Electrical Engineering department is responsible for producing some of the automotive industry’s most important new technologies. The Power Supply Systems team focuses on power generation, cranking, energy management and the design, installation, sign-off and release of related components, and when you join us you’ll be responsible for the development and delivery of belt integrated starter generators for the plug-in hybrid electric vehicles we’re developing. We’ll expect you to act as lead engineer and liaise with the supply base and other areas of the business including purchase, finance, manufacturing and engineering, and also manage deliverables to ensure gateway timings are met.

Candidate Profile

What you’ll need
Well developed engineering project management experience will be essential for success in this role, and you’ll have good knowledge of engineering release processes, preferably relating to JLR and Ford vehicles. A thorough understanding of rotating machines such as starters and alternators would be a plus, and you’ll be at an advantage if you’ve worked with automotive OEMs and suppliers. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, and ready to take up a wide range of challenges, you should also have a good university degree and excellent all-round computer skills.
