In the department of Bioanalytics at ISAS Dortmund as a leader of a junior research team you will be responsible for:
- Building-up and establishment of the research team;
- Development of multi-method based analytical strategies for the measurement of complex metabolites and enzyme activities in small volumes;
- Development of micro-preparative purification processes with integrated in-situ analysis;
- Coordination of the collaboration with project partners;
- Supervision of the individual progress;
- Presenting and publishing data;
- Fundraising is expected.
Your profile
- PhD in physics, (bio)chemistry or (bio)chemical engineering;
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in CARS and SERS microscopy;
- Knowledge in mass spectrometry, microfluidics, separation techniques and hyphenation techniques is an asset;
- Basic experience in personnel management, study set-up and design of experiments;
- Scientific creativity and passion for discovery;
- Good ability to communicate and collaborate with scientists from fields such as physics, biochemistry, biology and bioinformatics;
- Good working knowledge of English; German is an asset.
