Responsibilities

  • ECT’s Energy Consulting unit provides a focused range of energy consulting projects for ECT’s strategic account customers: 
    • Development of long-term energy roadmaps for customers to drive continuous improvement in energy performance, long-term cost savings, and reduction in carbon emissions across their enterprise;
    • Design of actionable concepts for integrated energy savings solutions, as well as implementation of ECT’s integrated solutions;
  • Report into the team leader of Energy Consulting Italy and assist in the build-up of this new BU of ECT in the Italian market;
  • Recruit, develop and lead a small team of solution engineers;
  • Manage, on a day-to-day basis, energy consulting projects for ECT’s strategic account customers – ensure project delivery on time and in budget;
  • Work closely with the clients’ decision makers and experts from various different functions – technical/maintenance, facility management, financial/accounting, procurement and other;
  • Coordinate ECT’s solution engineers and collaborate with colleagues from other ECT business units and relevant ECT functions, as well as other parts of E.ON, in the development of energy roadmaps and integrated energy solutions;
  • Steer the development of commercial offers for the implementation of ECT’s integrated solutions;
  • Act as program manager in the implementation of ECT’s integrated solutions, working hand in hand with the delivery teams of ECT’s business units;
  • Support the Energy Consultants in promoting and selling integrated energy solutions based on the full range of ECT’s core services and including, if useful, solutions available from other units of E.ON Group;
  • Ensure a consistently high level of quality across all work products, whether they are for use with and by the client or for internal purposes.

Qualifications

  • Successful university studies or equivalent degree;
  • Work experience in energy (efficiency) consulting for B2B customers in Italy at a project manager level – know-how in developing energy roadmaps and energy solutions;
  • Solid understanding of the overall energy needs of commercial and industrial as well as public-sector customers;
  • Good knowledge of the Italian energy market, with a strong focus on distributed energy technologies, building efficiency and renewables, including relevant regulation;
  • Understanding of the key drivers and technical fundamentals of a broad range of different technologies – CHP/CHCP, PV, heat pumps, biomass, HVAC, lighting systems, etc.;
  • Proven track record in project management – superb organizational and process management skills – structured work style and capability to steer successfully complex projects and team settings under time pressure;
  • Good understanding of relevant business models and contract structures (e.g. energy performance contracts);
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate complex scenarios in a concise, consultative style, both orally and in writing;
  • Self-confident person and strong team player – able to work in a cooperative way with colleagues and to interact on a senior level with the clients’ project managers and technical and other experts;
  • High degree of performance and result-orientation; taking ownership and initiative; acting with a sense of urgency and thriving for excellence; highly motivated individual with lots of energy and with an entrepreneurial mind set – passionate about energy and the solutions which can be created for customers;
  • Willingness to travel as well as internationally minded;
  • Italian native speaker with complete professional fluency in English, language skills in German are appreciated.
