Intensification of chemical-industry processes based on systems analysis

The successful candidate is expected to develop and to use tools for the design and optimization of industrial processes, as well as its constituting units. The position requires an expertise in the fields of modelling, control, and simulation of chemical processes, which includes the integration of energetic, security, economical, as well as environmental aspects. In addition to research, the selected candidate will have teaching and administrative duties in the school of engineering, particularly in the Department of Applied Chemistry.

The Department of Applied Chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track full-time faculty position in the area of “Intensification of chemical-industry processes based on systems
analysis”.

The successful candidate is expected to develop and to use tools for the design and optimization of industrial processes, as well as its constituting units. The position requires an expertise in the
fields of modelling, control, and simulation of chemical processes, which includes the integration of energetic, security, economical, as well as environmental aspects. In addition to
research, the selected candidate will have teaching and administrative duties in the school of engineering, particularly in the Department of Applied Chemistry.

The selected candidate either will be appointed for a term of 5 years maximum, possibly followed by a permanent appointment, or will be offered a permanent appointment.
