Senior Scientist (m/f) for Simulation-based Traffic Modelling
Work description:
- Acting as key expert for advancing topics related to traffic modelling, ranging from transportation measurement to traffic simulation
- Independent applied scientific research on par with international standards
- Support in advancing the research strategy
- Acquisition of research funds from national and international funding programs (includes publications)
- Supervision of PhD students, graduate students and interns
- Advancing the international academic network of the team
Requirements:
- Excellent and proven academic track record (publications, supervision of PhD students and graduate students)
- Experience in projects related to simulation-based traffic modelling
- Experience in data-driven modeling of multimodal traffic demand or traffic flow modeling is an asset
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
- Experience in heading a team is an asset
- Knowledge of the German language is an asset but not strictly necessary
- Enthusiasm for unconventional solutions, creativity and visionary power
Salary: The definite classification or remuneration will be in accordance with qualifications and previous experience. The annual gross salary is at least EUR 48.237,00 per year according to the Research CA.
