Engineering Managers Offshore Windfarms

For our Department Offshore Windfarms situated in Hoboken (Antwerp) and part of the division International Operations, we are looking for Engineering Managers Offshore Windfarms Electricity (low voltage) & Instrumentation.

As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible to manage and control all engineering activities related to the contract for the offshore windfarms substations. Your tasks are:

  • Supervision: Manage the engineering staff and to motivate the team so that the required tasks can be executed in accordance with the specifications, the regulations and the budget;
  • Contract evaluation and translation:
    • Analyse technical specifications to set up an engineering planning and give instructions to the direct reports;
    • Translates input from the client to set up a scope of work with technical specifications for the whole project.
  • Design:
    • Analyses the scope;
    • Draft, verification, test and approval of designs to come to the final design and manuals.
  • Procurement specifications: Translating the design into technical specifications in order to set up the requisitions for the purchasing process;
  • Document control: Keeping an up-to-date a list of deliverables (drawings, specifications, calculations, manuals, …);
  • Client relation: Maintaining the client relation in order to guarantee efficient information flow and work coordination between engineering and the client organisations.

You’ll be part of the project team and report to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master degree with solid experience in an engineering role and expertise in electricity (low voltage!) & instrumentation;
  • Proven leadership skills;
  • Good communication skills and excellent knowledge of Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French;
  • Decision maker;
