The Site:

Our Magor brewery is ‘the home of Stella Artois’, and is located in South Wales which is less than 5 minutes drive from junction 23A of the M4. We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic Technical Services Process Engineer to join out Technical Service Team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Engineering Process Improvement Manager will be responsible for providing dedicated technical support to the production departments and acting as key point of contact for all business critical projects within the department.

Duties:

  • Leads improvement initiatives;
  • Facilitates CapEx projects within the department;
  • Supports department in problem solving;
  • Interfaces with equipment and material suppliers in co-ordination with Zone Brewery Support (ZBS);
  • Follows up on innovation activities from the team;
  • Supports continuous improvement and root cause analysis processes;
  • Ensures cost optimisation across all areas of the department;
  • Contributes to implementing strategic concepts to reduce costs and increase service levels;
  • Ensures compliance with all company and legal obligations;
  • Ensures continuous improvement to consumption of energy and utilities within department.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND within an engineering discipline, such as; Electrical, Mechanical or Controls;
  • Completed a Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation and led a minimum of one project;
  • Computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project etc);
  • Ability to analyse data and problem solve;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers.

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified within an engineering discipline, such as: Electrical, Mechanical or Controls;
  • Holds a Black Belt within Six Sigma and/or led a number of projects.

Experience

  • Managing significant changes issues;
  • Delivered process improvement initiatives;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques;
  • Carrying out a similar position within another FMCG company, such as; Brewery & Beverage, Dairy, Chilled Food, Frozen Food, Bakery, Ambient Food Production or Pharmaceutical.
