The Site:
Our Samlesbury brewery, located near Preston is less then 5 minuets drive from junction 31 of the M6. The Brewery produces 3.5 million bottles, 1.7 million cans and 17 thousand kegs per day.
We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic Brewing FLM to the team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
Reporting to the Brewing Manager the Brewing FLM will be responsible for managing the team’s daily and weekly activities, in order to produce the right amount of beer, in a safe environment, according to the highest standard quality and at the lowest cost possible, following the AB InBev ways of working and adhering to department KPI’s.
Duties:
- Always searching for a new efficient ways of working (with regard to the durable implementation of agreed procedures) and standardised working methods;
- The strict application of the structured target setting and performance management processes;
- Ensuring optimum flexibility within the team to satisfy the existing and future company needs;
- Developing all team members, so that the complete potential of all employees can be exploited;
- Constantly drive to ensure responsibility and accountability are driven to, and enforced at, the lowest level within the day to day operations of the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
- Degree qualified within a process, engineering, chemical or bio chemical subject;
- Computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project etc);
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Leadership skills;
- Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers.
Desirable:
- Degree qualified within a process, engineering or business management subject;
- Completed a Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation and led a minimum of one project;
- Knowledge of the Brewing process.
Experience:
- Managing teams to targets, KPIs;
- High speed production in a management or supervisory role;
- Managing significant changes issues;
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques;
- Record of delivering process improvement;
- Carrying out a similar position within another FMCG company, such as: Brewery & Beverage, Dairy, Chilled Food, Frozen Food, Bakery, Ambient Food Production or Pharmaceutical.
