Our client an international software development company is seeking to recruit an experienced and talented individual
Requirements
Highly experienced engineer with hands-on experience designing metallic, plastics and composite materials devices
Experience in Wireless communication (RF) designs – an advantage
Experience in Military designs – an advantage
Mastering various manufacturing techniques. E.g.: injection moulding, die casting, 3D printing, milling
Ability to successfully deliver projects that involve unconventional manufacturing techniques materials such as textile, high density foam etc.
Ability to work with the PCB design team, provide mechanical and thermal constraints considering the placement of the card in a wide variety of products
Proficiency in heat dissipation techniques
Job Description:
Function as a Discipline Team Leader on large, complex projects
Ability to be accountable and consider the implications on non-mechanical disciplines such as board design, assembly line and system requirements
Effective execution of a project, providing solution from a concept level through a high-level design to a fully detailed design.
Ability to handle high work load while working within a fast paced, multi-national environment and meeting non flexible deadlines
Independently locate and contact manufacturers, negotiate costs & time frames and assure high quality manufacturing
Design to meet: simple assembly, easy maintenance, cost reduction, risk reduction and high reliability
Get involved in the prototype assembly process, offer immediate solutions, assure long term fixes, derive conclusions and assimilate improvements in the work procedures
Conform to the work methodologies and BOM management applied in the company
Self-driven individual who can collaborate/coordinate with various work interfaces
Identify opportunities to improve quality and services, and participate in the implementation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 years’ work experience in a similar role
2 years’ work experience as a Team Leader
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Excellent English
