Description
The Head of Engineering has the technical, cost and schedule responsibility for the Renewable Steam Plants EMEA Execution Center for engineering scope of supply and/or services from the Project takeover from tendering team until hand-over to service and/or O&M organization; Ensure quality, on-time and complete delivery of the engineering packages as allocated to the unit, according to the Project Contract, (Division of Work) DoW, Master Time Schedule (MTS), System Time Schedule (STS) and Project Cost Allocation; Ensure compliance with the Quality, EHS rules and Engineering standards from the business, sector and corporate within his area of responsibility; Ensure trainings needs analysis is carried out; request the planning and execution of training, with the appropriate follow–up and in general support cross business training initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering; 8 years of experience in engineering management, preferably with the Energy/Power Plant Industry, in an international project environment; Strong knowledge of engineering tools and standards; Strong financial acumen, proven track record of running cost effective organization for EPC projects; Strong intercultural skills and abilities for managing of projects with worldwide interfaces; Previous experience on significant EPC projects (>50 million euros), preferably on site or as a Project Engineering Manager; Knowledge of project management fundamentals and PM BOK techniques; Knowledge of Power Plant principles, processes and interfaces in complex EPC projects; Extensive knowledge of one of the following discipline (Mechanical, Arrangement and piping, Electrical and I&C and Construction Engineering).
