We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager within our HW Engineering team based in Espoo.   

Responsibilities:

The applicant is expected to develop and maintain laboratory capabilities for R&D work related to advanced micro-optics technologies. The work responsibilities includes tasks such as 

  Interfacing with vendors to guarantee minimum downtime for critical systems

  Developing operations and procedures for continuous improvement of quality and performance

  Developing and implementing methods for laboratory information and tracking

  Maintaining and monitoring of supplies

  Setting up and maintain working and safety procedures in laboratory environment

Moreover, the applicant is required to drive the problem solving for laboratory operations, have strong hands on capabilities for implementing practical solutions, and forward looking attitude in setting up of contingency plans as needed to guarantee productivity and quality. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  Excellent interpersonal skills - cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

  Strong understanding on laboratory operations and quality systems

  Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes 

  Hands-on skills in working with processing and testing tools 

  Proven track record for problem solving and decision making

  Capability for international travel when needed

Education: 

Relevant engineering degree
