Local Unit & Position Description
DNV GL Paris has a significant increasing activity in the verification and certification sector serving a substantial local infrastructure of customers, supporting the oil & gas industry, including Operators, EPCI and components & systems manufacturers.
Due to an increase in this activity, we are seeking suitably a qualified verification engineer to support and develop this important sector.
- Design verification of components/equipments/installations intended for offshore, in particular offshore structures and subsea equipments (umbilicals, risers, flowlines);
- Project management activities, including liasing with various stakeholders and other approval centers or survey units;
- May also be involved manufacturing survey of various components at the equipment makers;
- May take part to Novel Technology Qualification jobs.
Position Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Materials etc.), with experience (5 to 10 years) from an engineering office or in a verification body;
- Knowledge of one or several of the following types of systems or disciplines is required: SURF technologies, offshore structures, lifting appliances, offshore containers;
- Knowledge of risk management tools / techniques (FMECA, HAZID, HAZOP) is an asset. Candidate should be able to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Ability to understand and manage complex projects under their different aspects (technical, financial, commercial);
- Client focus, ability and interest to discuss with client, find news opportunities and contribute to develop market. This goes with good communication skills and ability to understand customer needs;
- Team player with positive attitude;
- Adaptable and flexible;
- Fluent in English language, French is a plus.
