We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to develop and strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Oil and Gas market.
Responsibilities and tasks
The overall performance of engineering activities and deliverables in a project.
This may include:
- System and/or Area design development and detail engineering;
- System and/or Area Engineering for procurement;
- Engineering interface co-ordination with internal customers, subcontractors, other contractors and Client;
- Management of change, and control of the effect on budget, schedule and quality;
- Deputise for the Project Manager.
And generally:
- Ensure delivery of a robust and functional design in accordance with Client expectations and requirements;
- Ensure a good working knowledge of Aker Solutions Project Execution Model (PEM);
- Take personal responsibility for HSE by focusing on own behaviour and Safety in design;
- Obtain detailed knowledge of the engineering scope of work related to the applicable disciplines;
- Ensure that the engineering scope of work is clear and understood by the discipline leads;
- Ensure clear interfaces towards suppliers and subcontractors with respect to engineering scope of work;
- Coordinate the disciplines with focus on functional requirements and solutions;
- Ensure disciplines execute their work in accordance with project schedules and milestones;
- Deliver the Engineering Scope on time and within budget, to a high standard of quality.
Qualifications & personal attributes
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline;
- Experience within a similar role in the Oil & Energy industry.
