Role Overview
Our track record in the waste sector is market leading, with a successful portfolio of winning and delivering waste contract procurement projects, for over 40 Local Authorities in England, Scotland and Wales. AMEC E&I UK Ltd is also supporting a number of waste contractors and technology specialists in bidding for new waste collection, treatment and disposal contracts.
Key Responsibilities
The role will provide the opportunity for someone to further their career with a proven consultancy that has an established client base. With the support of a large national based, experienced, waste team the individual has the opportunity to Project Manage landfill and waste engineering projects while learning from the experience of a dedicated team delivering a wide range of varied waste management infrastructure projects.
Role Requirements
- Typically we would expect someone to have gained at least five years (Senior Consultant) or eight years (Principal Consultant) or more experience of dealing with Landfill Design and Construction Management;
- You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Environmental subject;
- You will need to be familiar with Landfill Regulations and the relevant Environment Agency Guidance;
- You will have a working knowledge of LSS DTM (or similar);
- You will have experience of landfill gas management systems and leachate management systems;
- Experience of designing and managing the construction of other types of waste management facilities (eg HWRCS, WTS, etc) would be desirable;
- Ideally you will have experience of working in a consultancy environment but experience gained with a Waste Contractor will be considered;
