People in Need’s programs for Syrian population inside the country focus mainly on provision of relief aid to ensure food security of affected vulnerable population as well as emergency education. Main task of Project manager are:
- Management and supervision of education projects in Syria or its components in different project location ensuring harmonized and coordinated approach with other stakeholders
- Responsible for projects’ progress, spending plans and reporting (under supervision of Education program manager)
- Responsible for launching Turkey based education project
- Managing activities in line with PIN’s strategy and sectorial guidelines
- Maintaining the database of project outputs, training evaluation and achieved results to provide information for both internal and external reporting
- Responsible for recruitment, training and development of the capacities of staff in program
- Participate on evaluation and quality control of projects
- Maintaining collaboration with other actors within the humanitarian community
- Coordinate with all other Program Managers on assessments, analysis and implementation
- Through close monitoring of the context, develop approaches and activities ensuring promotion of the Do No Harm principle
- Participation on project development within the sector along with Head of Mission
- Identify trends in conditions/standards and donor priorities in education
Suitable candidate for this position should possess:
- Minimum 2 year experience from working as a Project Manager in a humanitarian/ recovery context
- Education expertise, including experience with Education in Emergencies is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Knowledge of the Syrian context and experience in a MENA country is desirable but not mandatory
- Training and education skills
- Experience in budget management
- Strong critical analysis and problem solving skills
- Fluency English, both written and verbal, knowledge of Arabic is advantageous PIN offers:
