HelpAge International's vision is one of a world where older people fulfil their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives. We are the Secretariat of the HelpAge network, bringing together more than 114 affiliates and 200 partners working with older people in over 50 countries. HelpAge is now looking for a monitoring and evidence adviser to coordinate approaches to high quality M&E across the organisation.

Working within the London based Operations Unit you will advise programme teams on approaches and methodologies to evaluation and impact assessment; develop organisation wide policies and minimum standards; and facilitate an international team focused on learning and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in M&E and in working across international teams. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical abilities and a knowledge of current debates on topics such as impact assessment and value for money. You will be expected to develop pragmatic mixes of quantitative and qualitative approaches to evaluation and demonstrate a commitment to disseminating and sharing learning from such exercises.

The ability to work in one or more of French, Spanish or Arabic would be a significant advantage
