Responsibilities and tasks
- Act as PRE for the execution and co-ordination of the technical & procurement activities of assigned packages, with a specific focus on Static Equipment (Pig Launcher, Filters and Strainers);
- Support the existing PRE in his responsibility for the execution and co-ordination of the technical & procurement activities of assigned packages, with a specific focus on Process Separators, Electrostatic Coalescers and Atmospheric Tanks.
Detail Design Phase:
- Undertake equipment sizing to determine footprint and weight requirements, input to layout, electrical load and weight/cost estimate;
- Evaluate equipment Supplier’s bids/proposals;
- Preparation and compiling equipment Specifications, Datasheets and Technical Requisitions for Purchase Orders;
- Planning, execution and co-ordination of technical procurement activities;
- Execution and co-ordination of Supplier documents and drawing reviews;
- Execution of technical close-out activities and technical supplier performance evaluation;
- Close cooperation with fellow Mechanical, Process, Layout, Weight Engineers and other disciplines to ensure robust solution;
- Specialist knowledge of pig launcher/receiver and closure design essential;
- Specialist knowledge of rectangular tanks design desirable.
Qualifications & personal attributes
- Degree qualified;
- Chartered engineer;
- More than 10 years’ experience in the contracting industry;
- Offshore engineering experience;
- Experience gained as a package responsible engineer ;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member;
- Experience with NORSOK standards.
